I read an interesting blog post this morning about the “entrepreneurial spirit”. The author of that blog calls it enterprising spirit. He shares clips from meeting all kinds of people working on all kinds of enterprises, big, small, social. And he starts with his own memory of his lemonade stand. He makes an interesting point: everyone has that spirit at birth, the spirit of creativity, inventiveness, curiosity and daring. Unfortunately this spirit is beaten down, and for whatever experiences and past histories we have had to endure, that creativity is often lost forever. But his undeniable point is that it is always within each of us, even later in life, if only the right conditions emerge.
