Boot Camp and team selection starts the $100k Competition

Seven new products have been chosen for the Fall $100K New Venture Start up Competition scheduled for December 4. These products all have commercialization potential, and the teams will work hard to take these products forward. The seriousness of these business students reflected in the process they went through in selecting the product and their team members. They interviewed each other, they discussed their own capabilities and searched for that balance all start-up teams need in order to succeed.

Throughout the semester, I will highlight the products and the teams involved. For now, the Fall Technology Boot Camp is scheduled for Saturday September 11 from 9-4:30, for the general public. See below for more information.

The daylong boot camp will feature expert presentations on fundamental technology entrepreneurship skills including opportunity identification, business planning, IP and business law, marketing, and funding a technology start-up in San Antonio.

The keynote address will be given by Bill Morrow, ’86, chairman and CEO of CSIdentity, founder of Grande Communications and former chairman of the Texas Emerging Technology Fund.
